Karen originally trained as a Biochemist at the University of Edinburgh, and following some years of research into cancer, genetic disorders and disease diagnostics, her interest in natural therapeutics led her to further her career in the healing sciences.

She then completed further studies in Cranial Osteopathy and Acupuncture and went on to study the Foundation Course of Applied Kinesiology with Tracy Gates in 2006, which inspired her to learn more about the possibilities of AK.
